RCI Exchange Owners Enjoy a Week at The Beach House

Our entire family fell in love with The Savannah and we enjoyed the amenities it included everything. From the layout, the decor of the condo, and the furnishings - especially the well thought out, high quality of the kitchen design and dishes, pots, pans, and appliances, to the loft complete with TV - we loved it all! The unexpected discovery of Starbucks Breakfast Blend Coffee in the cupboard only added to the delight.

The children enjoyed the their own “nook” and their mom and dad appreciated it as well. The spacious walk-in closet even served as a nursery for the baby!

The location near the lake as well as the dunes and lake shore were perfect for daily walks. We explored them all. We enjoyed the business district of Holland with its treasure trove of Cold Stone Creamery and 8th Street Grille. The sculptures and points of interest downtown added to our enjoyment.

The Quigley’s Clear-Cut Decision

My wife and I responded to a mailing with an offer to come to Holland, MI. We would visit The Beach House at Lake Street, have dinner for two at a nice restaurant and spend the night at a nice hotel just off the campus of Hope College. A nice two day vacation to a place we had heard a lot about but had never visited. We agreed that no matter what we would not succumb to any sales pitch. “Let us give it some thought,” was going to be our mantra. Well, that went out the window when there really wasn’t a sales pitch. Tasha Farmer, our lovely “tour guide” never even came close to putting any pressure on us. The condos themselves, including beautiful furnishings, decorating, craftsmanship and the most creative use of space I have ever seen…(and I have seen a lot having been a Vice President of the F.C. Tucker Co., in Indianapolis and Executive Director of the Indiana Real Estate Commission)…along with the heated pool and Jacuzzi, were most impressive.

Add to the above, the location…across the street from Lake Macatawa and less than a mile from the Holland State Park beach on Lake Michigan. Then throw in four rounds of golf each day at Macatawa Legends private golf club, well…it is just too nice. When we left, we had put a deposit down and closed over the phone within a couple of months. I have five weeks of use per year and four children with children of their own. It works out to each family unit getting one week to themselves. I’m hoping that Holland and The Beach House will be a part of our lives for many years to come.

The Lenihan’s Find a Vacation Home and a Friend

My husband and I recently purchased a fraction of the Hampton unit at the Beach House on Lake Street. We absolutely love it (it’s just beautiful!) and are very excited about our decision. So, besides to rave about our experience thus far, I wanted to make you aware of what a tremendous job one of your associates is doing from a customer service perspective. I guess this compliment is as much to you as to him for hiring such a talented team, but my husband and I have been so impressed with every touch point we have had with him that we would like to recognize Ed Barrett.

Since our first initial contact with the Beach House, Ed has been superb in all the facets of the service he has provided us. Not only has he performed his required tasks effectively, but he has also done so much more. He cuts out articles about the Holland area that he thinks we will find interesting and routinely places follow-up phone calls with us to make sure that our weeks are allocated and paperwork submitted so we don’t lose a minute of fun. He sent a lovely package full of Beach House goodies along with a very nice note, (as are all his notes.) On our last visit, he had taken a map and plotted places of interest that he thought we might enjoy so we could “experience” Holland. He mailed me a copy of Lake Magazine that highlighted The Beach House in it, which of course I was elated to show friends and family. He is a joy to interact with, and while I am sure there will come a time when we may not see him on out visit, we do look forward to seeing him now!

Pat Slama Appreciates the Short Travel Time

I received a brochure on the Beach House and was curious on what Michigan had to offer so I made the trip up last October on a rainy weekend to just see for myself. I was sold on the town of Holland and its great shops, eateries and friendly people but what really sold me was the drive of four hours from my front door to the shores of Michigan!

Having owned a condo in Orlando, Florida for 30+ years it was a major ordeal to get flights, rental cars, and children out of school etc…then having to loose 2 days of travel (one going and one leaving) all for some relaxation…not convenience. I was young then and it was great while the children were small. Now, I have grandchildren and when we go to Florida we stay at Disney! I really knew I had to sell when on my last 3 trips to Florida I never even went to my condo.

To have this experience, everything needs to be in good repair so when you arrive and depart you know your property is in good hands. I was a bit leery with the whole “fractional idea” but was sold on having my 5 weeks/year and letting the development be responsible for the grounds, upkeep and general maintenance. I just pack a bag and I’m ready to relax. The amenities offered were also tantalizing. The four rounds of golf daily, pontoon boat, close location to parks and trails and entertainment area just outside my front door all contributed to my reason for buying at the Beach House. I am so excited to come up for my first stay on August 3-10th as an official home owner. I was able to adjust my time arranged by the friendly staff at the Beach House. My actual unit has been rented for that week but I will be able to stay on the property. I’m bringing some potential buyers with me and hope to be able to have some Indy neighbors join me in Michigan.
